What does it mean to move with a force that cannot be held?
How do bodies, landscapes, and materials learn from repetition?
Where does one threshold end and another begin?
Our first exhibition considered rest as a condition suspended between labor and recovery, this second exhibition turns toward movement itself, not as acceleration, but as recurrence. Tides become both subject and method, tracing the rhythms through which environments continually reshape themselves and how time moves naturally with or without intervention.
The exhibition considers rhythms, tides, gravity, thresholds, erosion, and renewal as forces that resist permanence and offer instead consistency and pattern. A shoreline is never fixed. A current never repeats itself exactly. Each night’s dreams are their own. What appears stable is often the residue of continual transformation. For the works in this exhibition, time is considered as a rhythm of nature rather than constructed, compulsory order.
Water’s time complicates the boundary between repetition and change, containment and release. It gathers, disperses, carries, and dissolves. It remembers through movement rather than preservation, suggesting that transformation is less an event than an ongoing condition.
Through painting, sculpture, sound and installation the works approach cycles as open processes. Surfaces hold evidence of pressure, sediment, and duration. Material becomes a record of ephemerality.
The exhibition asks whether renewal is ever an act of beginning again, or whether it is simply the continual negotiation of what remains and what will inevitably come to change it.
Featuring work by Camilla Taylor, Sedona Cohen, Les Biller, Ish Lipman, Kenneth Morehouse, Paradise Entropy and Katya Urban with Amigos De Los Rios, the exhibition brings together practices that examine the quiet intelligence of natural systems and the thresholds they continually produce. Rather than depicting nature as landscape, these works engage it as a process, where cycles of growth, erosion, suspension, and return become ways of thinking through time and transformation itself.
Installed as a concentrated, time-bound presentation, the exhibition invites sustained attention to the subtle movements that often escape notice but shape our time. It proposes that renewal is neither linear nor complete.
